There Are Roughly 5.2 Billion Adults In The World

A kid only needs one of them to make a profound difference in their life.

A kid only needs one of them to make a profound difference in their life.

“There are roughly 5.2 billiopn adults in the world.

A kid only needs one of them to make a profound difference in their life.

One adults who listens, respects, & loves them can change the trajectory of their existence.

I work relentlessly on being that guy every day.

You should too.”

It’s easy to get caught up in believing that our personal version of reality is everybody’s reality.

When, our reality is only our mere perception of reality.

I grew up in a 2-parent home in an affluent area, raised by a schoolteacher and former football coach turned successful entrepreneur.

I had an endless supply of mentors, coaches, tutors, religious leaders, therapists, and etc. I had an endless supply of resources (that I am thankful for).

So, it’d be easy to think that because “I had it like this, doesn’t everybody have it like this!?”

For a little while I thought it was like that.

Everybody has a 2-3 car enclosed garage full of suvs & trucks no more than 3 years old and lives in a safe subdivision with state-of-the-art swim/tennis facilities, right?

When, not a mile from my home, there was probably a kid no different than me, sitting in a single parent home with a lien on it as his guardian was abusing drugs in an adjacent room, jobless and directionless, without a way out.

In fact, I know there was.

This reality is as real as my reality, but when we got to school looking the same outwardly, you may assume we had it the same. I know I did.

The point I’m trying to make is that you never know.

And it’s very easy to assume everyone has it like you because that’s all you know.

My parents didn’t have to hunt down quality people to put into my life, again I had endless resources.

But that kid, who’s mother was “sneaking” random men into the house all the time?

Who did he have to lead him by example?

To show him the way?

In a world full of 5.2 billion adults he only needed one.

But he didn’t have that one.

And when you learn that it’s like this, I believe it to be paramount to use whatever blessings you have been graced with and bestow them on others.

Never take for granted the opportunity to positively impact a life.

You may be part of a mentor team for one, but you may be the entire mentor team for another.

And remember, they only need one.

Go be that guy.
