Just look. They are right in your face.
“Pro’s sell environment. Joe’s sell image.
Pro’s sell culture. Joe’s sell clout.
Pro’s sell accountability, Joe’s sell drop-ins.
Pro’s sell quality. Joe’s sell discounts.
Pro’s sell relationships. Joe’s sell your name.
Pro’s sell results. Joe’s sell deception.”
-Ray Zingler on Twitter.
There is good and bad everywhere, but there are distinct differences between the Pro and the Joe.
1) Pro’s sell environment, Joes sell image.
The Pro understands that YOU are the main character of the story. It’s his job to set you up with the best chance to succeed within a growth-oriented environment.
The Joe doesn’t care about a rock-solid environment. He cares about the imagery so he can take credit for your efforts, so that people will assume he’s “the guy.”
2) Pro’s sell culture, Joe’s sell clout.
The Pro knows that in order to sustain anything positive, it requires a rich, lasting culture. He’s diligently focused on a community-centric family style culture that allows others to thrive.
The Joe doesn’t care about culture. He doesn’t even understand the concept. As long as he can convince you that he’s “cool” and will make you look “cool” he gets paid. That’s his Why.
3) Pro’s sell accountability, Joe’s sell drop-ins.
The Pro knows that in order for you to get a quality return on your investment, accountability is required. So, because he cares, he will facilitate and encourage the required accountability for YOUR personal growth.
The Joe knows you can’t make lasting progress occasionally “dropping-in” to anything, but he not only sells drop-in’s, he encourages them. Why? Cha-Ching.
4) Pro’s sell quality. Joe’s sell discounts.
The Pro knows his value. He charges a consistent fair wage, in which he intentionally exceeds the value of said currency, to make sure YOU win the deal.
The Joe doesn’t know his value (hint: it’s none) so will regularly undercut competitors, undervaluing the industry as a whole, and run the race to the bottom.
5) Pro’s sell relationships. Joe’s sell your name.
Again, The Pro knows you are the main character of the story. He works to build trustworthy, quality, lasting relationships so he can continually see YOU through on YOUR journey.
The Joe is using your name to tell everybody about how HE “built” you, for HIS personal gain.
6) Pro’s sell results, Joe’s sell deception.
The Pro knows the proof is in the pudding. He is rooted in science. He has quantifiable metrics to prove to you the progress you’re making.
The Joe on the other hand? Just trot through the speed ladders, “you’ll get faster, I promise.” Deception at it’s finest.
Go with the Pro’s, steer clear of the Joes.
