It all boils down to controllable factors that are self-awareness, desire, & most importantly, effort.
“If you want to be like everybody else, do what everybody else does.
The Commoner is focused on doing the bare minimum.
The bare minimum drives the Uncommon insane.
The Uncommon people are doubling down on what you wouldn’t even consider doing.
Effort is the difference.”

What’s the difference between Common people and Uncommon people?
I’m not talking about the genetic superiors, elitists, or those who were born on 3rd base and think they hit a home run.
I’m talking about the Common individual who elevates him or herself to Uncommon status.
What’s the difference between those people and the rest of the pack?
While there is a lot that goes into it, most Common people would spout off answers like:
“Resources, leverage, geographical location, race, gender, etc.”
And while I’m certainly not implying those factors don’t contribute to success or failure in life, I firmly believe the people who travel from Common to Uncommon, use the above perceived negatives and convert them into positives that become strong catalysts for their growth into Uncommon status.
We all have our stuff, right?
We all have struggles, adversity, and different access points.
Of course the game of life isn’t played on a level playing field, but those who travel from Common to Uncommon, not only know this and accept this, they thrive because of it.
No shit the game is rigged. Are you going to accept it or wish it was different?
You have two options:
Option 1: Complain about the wind.
Option 2: Adjust your sails.
Option 1, the Common Option, is the lowest value option by a country mile, but it’s still the most popular choice because of how easy it is.
The Uncommon, though, the Uncommon adjust their sails.
The concept of adjusting your sails works in nearly all facets of life, from youth sports to high level business.
You’re unhappy with your playing time?
Are you doing what everybody else is doing and expecting a different result?
Are you seeking extra work outside of the bare minimum that the rest of the pack is getting? If you’re not, lie in the bed you make.
In business, that business down the road “has it better.”
A bigger building, more employees, more resources.
Are you going to complain about it?
Or are you going to beat them with unparalleled personalization and an overdelivery of the highest quality service?
The difference between Good and Great & Common and Uncommon boils down to effort.
You might think it’s more than that, but that’s because you’re afraid of the work.
It’s exactly why most people are Common.
